Summer Reading Challenge

Each child in the MCSIS building will have a required reading assignment.  Each child will receive a free book and a story map to complete over summer vacation.  Please have your child return their story map to their teacher on the first day of school in September.  Your family may keep the book to enjoy!

We will also be sending home a summer reading record.  We will be challenging each student to read and log the books they complete this summer.  Students in grades 3 and 4 are being challenged to read 6 books and students in grades 5 and 6 will be challenged to complete 4 chapter books.  Summer reading logs must be signed by an adult and returned to your teacher the first week of school.
